MORE ABOUT US

WHAT WE BELIEVE:

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit and given to us as a gift that we could know  God and God's work through Jesus Christ. We accept all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments as Scripture.

The Trinity

We believe that God is Supreme and is One, revealed in Three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Salvation

Salvation, or eternal life, is given by God in Jesus Christ alone. This gift (called grace) is not earned, merited, or won by our acts or faith. Simply, God has demonstrated love and mercy by giving to us the gift of eternal life by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and completed in his resurrection from the grave.

The Sacraments

We believe that Jesus Christ gives us two Sacraments in the New Testament: Baptism and the Lord's Supper (also known as Holy Communion or Eucharist). We believe that infants and adults are called to receive Baptism and that all baptized Christians are welcomed to be nourished by the Spirit of Jesus Christ at His table. In accordance with the testimony of Scripture we also baptize only once in a person's lifetime. If you have any questions about these Sacraments, do not hesitate to speak to the Pastor.

Church Government

We believe that the Church is governed by our Lord Jesus Christ who alone is head of the church. However, we believe that Jesus Christ gave to us three groups of people to help him carry out his ministry in the world: The Ruling Elders, the Teaching Elders (Pastors), and the Deacons. We believe that women and men of faith are called to these ministries of governing, preaching, and compassion..
